this house is the definition of a Summer House. It is perfect. Well not totally perfect as this New England style home hasn't got a New England style summer to match. It is infact situated on the River Thames in Middlesex.
So maybe not my ideal location, but I am sure this house could be almost perfect come our normally very short English summer.
If you don't live in England or have never visited, let me just tell you...our houses never look like this..well exterior-wise. I don't think I have ever seen a New England style house in the UK, but I definitely know there should be more homes that look like this.
The interior style is just as pleasing, don't you think? It looks so relaxing and calm but with that boho/rustic edge to it.
If there was one thing that I could fault though it would have to be the amount of white, for me it is just too much. It is most noticeable in the Living room..nothing stands out or takes center stage, it's all just kind of placed there. I can't help but think it could do with touches of navy Blue or some Coral.

I do think the owner definitely got the balance of colour right in the little girls room though. The glass panelled wardrobes seem to give depth and warmth to the room. The pink bunting also gives the room a subtle softness. Very pretty.
Last but not least is the master bedroom with a lovely open plan bathroom. I love the mixture of the white washed walls and wood. It just works.
Also the little touches do seem to add alot to the room like the little sofa just slotted into what would normally be dead space under the eaves and the Silver gilded lettering above the double door way.
